Let's Take A Look The New Line Of Philips Electric Shavers

By Sean Lock

Philips have been the biggest maker of electric shavers in Great Britain for some considerable time now. A cursory look at the 10 most popular shavers in this country shows the fact that a huge five out these ten products are razors that carry the name Philips.

A few of the best liked shavers right now, which simply flew off the shelves during the recently-ended Christmas period, are the PowerTouch Pro PT920 and the AquaTouch AT890. These are relatively new models from Philips, which they introduced just in time for the festive season.

These two shavers are now the most popular models in the country, but a quick look at the features shows that they are actually completely different.

The Philips PowerTouch razor contains advanced shaving technology; this might very well be Philips' closest shave thus far. The Philips PT920 is a triple-track razor, which provides each shaver head with 50% more shaving surface than a standard razor. This implies a closer and swifter shave. The Philips PT920 is essentially used for dry shaving.

The Philips AT890, on the other hand, has a water resistant seal which means that you can use it to have a wet or a dry shave. It incorporates Philips' proven Super Lift and Cut technology, which means that each shaver head has dual-blades for a really close finish.

So , should you go for the PowerTouch or the AquaTouch?

Simply put, due to its advanced shaving technology, my personal preference is for the PT920 by a fairly long way.

There are two exceptions to this, however. If you find yourself on a budget, and saving money is important to you, then you need to go for the AquaTouch AT890 as it's a lot more cost effective. With Philips fantastic Super Lift and Cut technology built into it, you'll still get a fantastic shave at a rather more affordable outlay.

Second, if you're the kind of guy that prefers to have a shave with foam then the choice is very easy for you; the AT890.

If neither one of these apply to you, then I would say the PowerTouch wins every time. It's a superb shaver, and is presently available for roughly 50% off online!
